Hospital staff choir sing for patients

Bath Hospital Radio editor-at-large Clare Reddaway was invited along to meet the RUH staff choir during their regular Tuesday lunchtime rehearsal before she recorded their concert in the hospital’s atrium.

“The choir is open to all and any members of staff and is led by the inspiring Julie Payne,” said Clare, who is one of the volunteer broadcasters at Bath Hospital Radio.

The choir sings an eclectic mix of tunes, from spirituals to folk songs, like Dance To My Daddy, tunes from the shows and old favourites like A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square.

” I hope you enjoy listening to their rehearsal and to their splendid performance in the atrium as they entertain patients and visitors,” added Clare.
