Frankie Simpkins, Musician in Residence at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, entertained patients and visitors at a recent Soundbite recital in the hospital’s foyer.
Her performance was part of Soundbite, the popular fortnightly lunchtime series organised by Art at the Heart, the organisation that brings artists and musicians into the hospital to enhance the experience of patients.
Bath Hospital Radio presenter Clare Reddaway went to meet Frankie as she performed the recital in the hospital’s busy foyer.
Frankie sang vintage classics such as Fly Me To the Moon, Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree With Anyone Else But Me, and, her favourite, Can’t Help Loving That Man of Mine.
“Frankie is a wonderful singer and I am sure you’ll enjoy her beautiful voice,” said Clare.
