Bath MP Ben Howlett visits radio station
Newly-elected Bath MP Ben Howlett dropped into the Bath Hospital Radio’s studios today.
Mr Howlett met volunteers during the station’s Decades fundraising weekend.
He was interviewed for the airwaves by chairman Ian Martin and was given a tour of the facilities.
Ian said: “It was great to meet Ben and to show him around. We talked about our exciting plans for the future. He was very supportive and interested in keeping in touch with the station.
“During his interview he told us about his experiences of the first weeks as an MP and understanding how a 300-year-old institution runs in the modern day.
“He also said that the election was particularly memorable for him because he was surprised to win the seat, which he did with a 17% swing,” added Ian.
The interview will be available on this website soon.
The newly-elected Newbridge ward councillor Donal Hassett also visited the studio.
