Bath and North East Somerset,” said Ian Martin, chair of Bath Hospital Radio.

The Family Placement Team is part of a full range of services offeBath & North East Somerset Councilred to children in need by Bath and North East Somerset Council through its safeguarding, social care and family support services.

“By working with Bath Hospital Radio we hope to attract more people who can offer a family life to children and young people whose own family are unable to look after them,” explained Olivia Lindsey from the Family Placement Team.

“In some cases we are looking for people who can provide a home for just a few days but in other situations it could be for many months, if not years,” added Olivia.

The team are particularly looking for people able to care for siblings who need to be kept together and carers with the skills to take care of teenagers.

Carers receive an excellent support and training package, as well as a competitive allowance.
