Fete fundraiser is a success – thank you!

A big thank you to everyone who visited our bottle stall at the Friends of the Royal United fete on Saturday.

We raised nearly £450 for Bath Hospital Radio,  a charity which is run entirely by volunteers.

“This is the most we have ever raised at our legendary bottle stall which is fantastic,” said Nigel Smith, one of the charity’s trustees.

Bottles were donated by members and supporters of the charity as well as a donation of bottles of wine from the supermarket Tesco.

Radio volunteers  were delighted to welcome Bath’s new MP Wera Hobhouse to the bottle stall after she opened the fete – see picture above.

“A big thank you must also go to Sam Nolan and her team at the Friends of the RUH for their hard work in organising the fete,” added Nigel.
